Staff wellbeing in education
In spring 2019 we began working with South Thames Colleges Group, a further education institution operating four colleges, across six sites, in south-west London. Initially our founder Matthew Carlton was invited to join the Group’s wellbeing matrix team, which met monthly. During these meetings we were able to give an independent perspective on wellbeing-related issues across the colleges, drawing from our knowledge of best practice, trends and relevant initiatives.
One such initiative was the Time to Change pledge (see below). We also helped with its London Healthy Workplace Award application, and provided content and advice for its internal wellbeing hub. Further work included touring all sites and presenting recommendations to the matrix team regarding on-site initiatives and communications.
