It’s National Fitness Day on September 25 and as a company that believes passionately in the power of physical activity, we are marking the day with our own fitness focus! We are delighted to be teaming up with The Rose Theatre in Kingston-Upon-Thames to run a series of activities, all of which are free to attend for anyone living or working in the area.
Proceedings begin at 10am with a HIIT class for beginners. Attendees will be able to learn about the benefits of this popular exercise trend – High Intensity Interval Training – and how it can be completed anywhere without the need for a gym or equipment. This session is designed for all ages and abilities, so if you’re new to HIIT you will be completely fine and of course, those familiar with this type of exercise are equally encouraged to attend. This session will last for just 20 minutes – the perfect way to kickstart your day!
At 1pm, the focus is yoga. Khadeeja Sheikh will take participants through some starter Hatha yoga practices and positions. This Traditional Eastern discipline combines strength and flexibility through a series of movements linked with a focus on breathing, helping to develop a sense of inner wellbeing and calm. This class will run for 40 minutes.
At 5.15pm, it’s time for Zumba! This Latin-inspired dance workout is one of the most popular group exercise classes in the world. You don’t need to be a great dancer to take part in a Zumba class – and to prove this, our founder Matthew will be having a go (think two left feet)! Zumba will last for 35 minutes.
Attendees are welcome to join in with all sessions, or any they’d like to or can make. All classes are completely free-of charge. To sign up for any, simply email us at contact@shineworkplacewellbeing.com and we’ll reserve your place or places. All classes will be run by fully trained professionals. The Rose Theatre is based in the heart of Kingston at 24-26 High Street, KT1 1HL.
