When your employees are in good physical and mental health, they are happier, more engaged and more productive. You may even have resolved to create a healthier workplace in 2019, but perhaps you’re finding it hard to take the first step or get to the next level, or maybe you worry that it’s too time consuming to do whilst concentrating on the day job. If that’s you, we’d love to see you at our (free to attend) ‘Mental Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace’ event – taking place on the morning of March 21, 2019 – which will give you the inspiration and the know-how to start improving your workplace wellbeing. Our Mental Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace event begins at 09.30 with complimentary refreshments available. Presentations start at 09.50 with the following areas covered:
- Naomi Scoffham, HR Consultant at Business Clan, will be discussing the business benefits of promoting workplace wellbeing and the impact it has on organisational performance, sharing industry facts and figures to demonstrate the importance of wellbeing in the modern workplace.
- Matthew Carlton, Founder of Shine Workplace Wellbeing, will share examples, insights, and case studies from businesses of all sizes that are successfully implementing employee wellbeing schemes and initiatives – and are achieving notable business gains. The examples will hopefully inspire attendees, who will return to their workplaces full of ideas around how to start (or improve) their employee wellbeing programmes.
- Martin Roberts, Mental Health Lead at Lloyds Banking Group, shares his personal and moving story regarding his mental health breakdown and the challenges that brought into his career and personal life. Thankfully, Martin came through this dark period. Hear him discuss his journey and the role Lloyds played in supporting his recovery.
- Natalie McCandless, from The Wellbeing Effect, will provide ‘Six tips for managers when approaching mental health issues in the workplace’. These include: common signs to look out for and how to approach someone who may be struggling.
Presentations will finish at around 11.15, allowing some time for networking. In addition to the above, On Site Massage Co will be offering attendees complimentary five minute reviving chair massages during the breaks and networking periods. To reserve a place email: contact@shineworkplacewellbeing.com or register via our Eventbrite listing. Please note the event will be held in the Community Hub on the third floor, near the baby and childrenswear sections.
