It was great to be part of the inaugural Chessington Business Expo, held at Chessington School, on October 31st. Organised by Kingston Chamber of Commerce, we exhibited which included bringing along our basketball challenge after its popularity at July’s Kingston Business Expo.

As you can see from the pics and social media posts below, it proved popular again. Those who scored three consecutive baskets (after the chance to get their eye in with a warm up) now have the chance to win a £50 retail voucher – we will make the draw in the coming days with the winner announced on our Twitter page and contacted by email.

It was pleasing to meet a number of local businesses and to hear that interest in workplace wellbeing continues to grow among small to medium sized businesses. We look forward to meeting up with some of those interested parties in the coming weeks.

It was also good to catch up with some familiar faces such as Rachel from Thrive Beyond, Richard from Be Curious, Rebecca from Kingston University, and Kate from Affinity Health.

The event was a hotbed of activity with 40+ exhibitors, speed networking, a handful of seminars. and a good number of visitors from businesses across the borough and those from the nearby Chessington business parks. The day went so well that Jerry Irving, the Chamber’s Chief Executive pretty much committed to hosting it again during his closing speech! We hope so, and we hope to back exhibiting, meeting more local businesses and getting them to shoot some hoops!

PS – Located next to our stand at the Chessington Expo was Love Kingston and Go Cycle, with the latter encouraging attendees to consider taking up cycling. They did this via a static bike riding competition with entrants trying to cover as much distance as possible in 30 seconds. And it was Claire from our team that triumphed in the women’s category (confirmation below!)
